Tarnz graduated from Auckland University of Technology with a BA in Sport & Recreation in 2005 and Diploma in Applied Sport from North Shore Academy.
Her previous experience in the sport sector includes working for Harbour Sport as the Falls Prevention Coordinator and Halberg Trust as the Sport Opportunity Advisor for the Harbour region.
Originally from the Bay of Plenty, Tarnz has enjoyed various sporting interests which include volleyball, netball, touch, golf, Kio Rahi and softball.
